Organized by the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and RX, the 27th edition of the event will feature a larger space than before and expects to welcome over 660,000 visitors by its close on Sunday, September 15th.

What to expect

Visitors can look forward to a broad cultural program, meet both national and international authors, and explore booths from publishers, bookstores, and other book market organizations offering discounted titles and special promotions. A total of 227 exhibitors and more than 600 invited authors are confirmed.

For all ages

The event increasingly focuses on younger audiences, with efforts concentrated on showcasing and promoting literature to this demographic. However, it is designed for all ages.

For adults, there are cultural spaces like the Salon of Ideas, featuring in-depth discussions with major literary figures, as well as the Education Space, Cooking with Words, and Market Talk, which offer discussions on the editorial and cultural landscape.

For families, the event enhances its range of activities that foster connections between parents and children through reading.

Exhibitors and promotions

There will be 227 exhibitors, including publishers of various sizes, bookstores, and other book market institutions. In addition to promotions, publishers are offering progressive discounts and giveaways.

Cultural program highlights

The cultural program will include over 2,000 hours of lectures, discussions, meetings, and other diverse activities across 13 spaces, including:

  • Paper Excellence Cultural Arena, with chats and lectures from national and international authors
  • Cooking with Words, focused on the gastronomy book sector
  • Childhood Space, offering educational and playful activities for school audiences
  • Banco CAF Ideas Salon, featuring debates on current social and cultural issues
  • BiblioSesc (Word Square and Stories Square), with storytelling and music and literature performances
  • Cordel and Repente Space, with discussions, presentations, and other activities on cordel literature
  • Market Talk MVB, dedicated to topics related to the book market
  • Education Space, a new area focused on environmental education, innovation, and educational policies
  • Edições Sesc São Paulo Auditorium, with meetings organized around books from the Edições Sesc publisher
  • Ziraldo Auditorium, named in honor of the writer, featuring meetings between authors and readers organized by the publishers
  • By Suzano Autograph Space, with room for 150 visitors per session and advance distribution of tickets starting August 9th
  • Skeelo Interview Arena, a new feature where literary influencers will interview authors
  • Jabuti Award Space, dedicated to bringing readers closer to the winners of the Jabuti and Jabuti Academic Awards
Getting there

For those taking the subway, free circular buses will run from the Portuguesa Tietê Metro Station (Line 1 – Blue) directly to Anhembi every day of the event.

Pick-up is at the parking lot on Av. Voluntários da Pátria, at number 498, starting 1 hour before the event and ending 1 hour after it. By bus, the best option is Line 9717-10 (Santana / JD. Almanara).

Parking and ride-sharing

If you prefer to drive, the Anhembi District is located at Av. Olavo Fontoura, 1209 (Gate 38).

The venue has parking for 5,800 vehicles, costing R$ 70 for 12 hours.

If using a ride-sharing service (Uber and others), the organization suggests using Rua Professor Milton Rodrigues for pick-up and drop-off.

Event Hours
  • On weekdays (September 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13), from 9 AM to 10 PM, with entry allowed until 9 PM.
  • On weekends, gates open at 10 AM and close at 10 PM, with entry allowed until 9 PM.
  • Final day, Sunday, September 15, the event ends at 9 PM, with entry allowed until 7 PM.
