The Mariah Carey and Eminem feud: a look at their controversial history

Mariah Carey and Eminem have had a notable and controversial history, marked by a high-profile feud that began in the early 2000s.

The conflict started when Eminem referenced Mariah Carey in his song ‘Superman’ from his 2002 album The Eminem Show, leading to a public exchange of barbs.

Carey responded with her track ‘Clown’ from her 2002 album Charmbracelet, and their feud continued to make headlines.

In 2009, Eminem took another swipe at Carey in ‘The Warning’, to which she responded with the single ‘Obsessed’, featuring a music video where she impersonates Eminem.

Upcoming performances in Brazil

Next week, Brazil will host a musical extravaganza as Mariah Carey brings her legendary voice and charisma to two of the country’s most iconic venues.

Despite experiencing a family tragedy in August — her mother and sister passing away on the same day — Mariah will light up Allianz Parque in São Paulo on September 20th, followed by an electrifying performance at Rock in Rio.

It’s worth noting that Mariah Carey’s visit to Brazil happens 14 years after her last appearance in the country, which was at Festa do Peão de Barretos in 2010.

On September 22nd, she’ll perform on the Sunset Stage at Rock in Rio on the festival’s final day. This will also be the evening when Shawn Mendes and Ne-Yo perform, with Ne-Yo also having a performance in São Paulo.

Tickets for her performance at Rock in Rio are sold out. But tickets for her concert at Allianz Parque are available here.
